Behavior Modification Program
New Beginnings provides direct access to psychiatric therapy through NextLevel. This
program provides direct access to a psychiatrist who handles medication monitoring
and medication management.
The Behavior Modification Program is an intergenerational, structured, comprehensive
and non-residential community-based program that provides planned care, on an
intensive outpatient basis, for clients who are physically/mentally challenged in a
supervised, protective and congregate setting.
This is a comprehensive program specially tailored for individuals who need
supervision and assistance during the day. The program brings together health, social,
psychiatric, psychological and an array of other supportive services in a friendly and non-
institutional setting.
This program offers individualized treatment plans and personalized service to each of
our clients in an environment that encourages socialization under the direction of a
psychiatrist. Nursing, rehabilitation, therapeutic activities, counseling, therapeutic
exercise, life skills training, nutritious meals and snacks and prearranged
transportation to and from the facility are all coordinated to help clients maintain
maximum independence, comfort and enjoyment.
Clients who benefit the most from this services are:
- Clients who are socially isolated;
- Clients who are at risk for abuse;
- Clients who suffer from depression or dementia;
- Clients who need assistance or training in life skills;
- Clients who are abusing alcohol or other drugs or substances;
- Clients with developmental disabilities who desire to increase their
independence, add to their quality of life, and enhance their integration into the
community.
What services does NextLevel provide? They provide:
- Therapeutic and recreational activities that include arts and crafts, music
therapy, exercise, social, community outings, and social enrichment activities;
- Health assessment and intermittent monitoring;
- Personal care and assistance with daily living;
- Life skills training;
- Nutritional meals and snacks that include special diets for clients who require
them;
- Care giver support groups and referral to other programs;
- Social outings;
- Medical follow-up;
- Health care screening and coordination;
- Medication monitoring and administration;
- Individualized care plans;
- Full-time monitored security to facilitate a safe, congenial environment;
- Rehabilitation assistance and therapy;
- Crisis Intervention.
